Mobility & Movement Restoration
Move Without Limits. Live Without Fear.
So many people feel held back by movement limitations and past setbacks. They try programs that aren’t built for their bodies and end up feeling more restricted or more cautious than before. It’s hard to know who to trust when what you really want is to feel capable again.
It’s overwhelming to feel stuck, unsure how to move forward, or uncertain who to trust with your long-term wellbeing. You don’t want another cookie-cutter plan. You want clarity, guidance, and real solutions that actually help your body function better.
That’s where we come in.

At Gymnazo, we start with the MōV Assessment, a personalized evaluation that reveals how your body moves, where limitations show up, and what you need to move with more ease and confidence. No guessing. No generic programming. Just a clear, customized roadmap built for you.
Instead of feeling restricted or worried about setbacks, you’ll walk away with a plan that supports your body’s unique movement patterns and helps you feel more capable in everything you do.
Our methods are trusted by members who’ve returned to surfing, running, and lifting after multiple surgeries and setbacks, because our system is led by kinesiologists, rooted in science, and proven in real life.
Work 1-on-1 with a skilled movement practitioner. Personalized sessions designed to improve how your body moves, feels, and performs. |
Session recommendations are based on your needs and movement history. Some individuals benefit from a short series, while others choose a deeper reset of up to 10 sessions to build consistency and confidence. |
Many clients notice meaningful improvements in mobility, ease, and control within 5–6 sessions |
Most clients transition into semi-private or group training. This allows them to maintain progress, build strength, and stay supported long term. |
Assessment
We begin with a consultation and movement assessment to understand your history, your goals, and how your body currently moves. This gives us a clear picture of your strengths, limitations, and opportunities for improvement.
Create
a plan
Your goals, current movement capabilities, lifestyle, mindset, and even your recovery habits all inform the personalized training plan we create for you. Nothing generic. Everything tailored to help you move with more confidence, ease, and strength.

Gymnazo is a private fitness and performance training facility. Our programs are designed and delivered by certified fitness coaches who specialize in functional movement and longevity-focused training. While our methods are restorative and rooted in movement science, we are not a medical or physical therapy clinic.
We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions or injuries, nor do we provide licensed physical therapy services. Our work is intended to offer fitness-based movement solutions that support long-term strength, resiliency, and overall wellbeing.
Our services are not a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare professional. Always consult with your physician or licensed physical therapist before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have existing injuries or medical concerns.
I chose 1-on-1 training after a shoulder injury while bouldering. Coming back from injury left me feeling a lot of fear and mistrust about simple exercises, and I was scared I would never climb again. CJ helped me rebuild my confidence in my body and use my whole body for movements and power, rather than one muscle group or area. This injury has been something I have been managing for years and CJ was training yet! I appreciate the knowledge the instructors have about anatomy and accessing the power in my body. I also started climbing again!
Meg Whitney, SLOBefore I came to Gymnazo, I had a bad ACL – so bad that two physical therapists and two orthopedic surgeons believed my knee would never fully heal. I felt my life was over. I thought I would never be able to participate in activities again with my kids. Now, I feel like Gymnazo has given me my life back. In one session, Michael gave me an exercise that was strenuous without causing knee pain. I love Gymnazo and can’t believe the overwhelming progress I’ve made.
Toni Hanson, SLOMichael and CJ understand the complexity of body mechanics and how muscles, bones, nerves and ligaments all work together or how their dysfunction causes pain. They can quickly get to the cause of pain and know how to relieve it. I’ve been to chiropractors, physical therapists and neurologists and found more relief faster when working with Michael or CJ!
Kerry SheetsI did a 3D Movement Assessment because of a chronic lower back issue that has developed. I also had an injury to a hip flexor years ago, which led to a lower back injury. I was hoping it could be treated, but chiropractors couldn’t help me. Doing this assessment with CJ helped me understand the root cause of this pain. I have done the stretches that were recommended by CJ, and I have had less pain, which is fantastic for living with this for over three years.
